OfficeList Launches Its Mobile Website

Everyday, more people are browsing the internet through their mobile devices. According to the Pew Research Center, 57% of American adults own a smartphone, and 60% of them use it to access the web.

OfficeList is proud to announce the launch of our mobile site, a new tool for all the people looking for office space from their mobile devices.

For several months, we worked along a great team of developers and web designers to produce the finest product possible, ready to suit your office search needs.

OfficeList is Proud Supporter of Earth Hour

We are losing a species every 20 minutes because of climate change, habitat loss and environmental degradation. Sea level is rising, our glaciers are melting. But today we have a chance to contribute in some way.

On Saturday March 23rd 2013 from 8:30Pm to 9:30Pm OfficeList invites you to turn off your lights, turn off your computers and switch all your power off for a good cause, to save the Earth.

You can help us turn off our lights, visit OfficeList, click the lightswitch and see how our site looks in the dark! 

This even started in Australia in 2007, with only 2 million people participating, and it has grown to have 7000 cities participating from 152 countries.

Here are a few ideas on how we can help save the earth:

• Turn off the lights, disconnect chargers and appliances (printers, computers, photocopiers) that may consume energy and which do not require to be plugged.
• Bike to the office; try motivating your team and colleagues to bike to the office once a week or to acquire electric cars or motorcycles.  
• Car Pooling is a great technique to save costs and while at it, your team will be bonding and strengthening their friendship.  
• Are you already using low energy bulb or LED spotlights? Although LEDs are more expensive, they last longer and will help you save more on the long run.
• Reduce, reuse and recycle. Try printing all papers double sided, provide a box for used paper and label it, use boxes to separate waste from recyclable materials.

These ideas are no secret or innovative. But an interesting challenge is looking for a creative way to implement them.

Monthly competitions, contest for the most creative recycling box, prices, mentions or awards to the most Eco-friendly team members, will have a positive effect on your team while preserving the earth.

OfficeList names Santiago Iregui as Director of Operations

Just as John Lennon had Yoko Ono and Ren has Stimpy, OfficeList has Santiago Iregui.

Back in 2005 Santiago started as the first full time employee OfficeList had. Since then, he has been involved in creating and growing the account management department.

In 2009 Santi –as his friends call him- assumed the role of Senior Account Manager with the challenge guiding his team through the real estate crisis and a very competitive market.

3 years after, with the challenge achieved he assumes a new role as Director of Operations

"We are excited to promote Santiago to Director of Operations, a long overdue recognition to his efforts, innovative ideas and consistent results." Commented Uddy Carmi, CEO and co-founder.

In his new role, Santiago will be developing new strategies to streamline the sale's cycle and maximize overall customer and employee satisfaction.

OfficeList celebrates its 8th anniversary!

Back in 2004 a couple of entrepreneurs got together and decided to start a project called OfficeList. It started as an automatic lead generator for Business Centers. 

8 years later we’re proud to say everything has evolved. 

During these 8 years we’ve helped all types of companies find space, from start ups to huge tech companies that are revolutionizing the world. We thank all those clients that find hundreds if not thousands of options online and have given us their trust to help them with their search. 

Many wonderful people have been a part of what we are today; we’ve had people from different countries such as Scotland, Colombia, Mali and Jamaica and we’re thankful with every single person that has contributed with their ideas and dedication to this venture. 

What started with only a few hundred locations has grown to a large list of over 1500 Business Centers and continues growing. All the center managers we work with have been of great support, those that work together with us to provide the best experience to clients looking for a nice place to work.

Meet Our Staff: Dwayne Deer

Dwayne Deer

This week we’ll continue presenting you our staff, this time you will meet Dwayne Deer.

Dwayne was born in Jamaica, he’s a molecular biologist who left it all behind and moved to Boston when he was 25 years old. Boston was his home for almost 6 years but then again life changed, he relocated , met the love of his life and now he’s happily married.

As any Jamaican he loves music, every now and then he’s cheering up the team with some songs.

Dwayne has been with OfficeList for 6 months and other than the Massachusetts area, he’s also the account manager for Florida, Georgia, Texas and the South Eastern markets.

Since Miami is such a demanding market, Dwayne is learning Spanish in order to help those client that need bilingual assistance.
